![]() ![]() I just got a new one two days ago and im beyond happy with it, fraps actually stoped working on me i kept getting a directx error :/ in the end nothing i could do fixed it, i tried reinstalling directx and everything. but i would say also you should try recording just on high instead of uncompressed the quality difference to me is barley noticeable it would cut down on SOME lag and int he end that would result in better quality work * edit to say got the video to work so its fine. #Bandicam video is choppy moviegood luck on the movie making, and fyi the video still isn't view-able but I already know what the lagging looks like. There are also other versions of this to use, you don't have to limit yourself to fraps you got a wide variety of other programs that do the same thing you can try until you find what works. That said the smaller lots and lots with less people on it do record better ( not something any story maker cares to hear since we love big scenes with lots loads of people ) The only suggestion I would make as I have had to do this even with sims 2 was get an out of game camera, I use Fraps and it works really well, it may still lag a bit in general but I find it significantly more tolerable than the in game camera lag. I have a very similar issue as well when recording with the in game camera its very laggy and choppy and sometimes it won't even record the scene i want AT ALL it will just lag right the heck by the scene, skip it entirely i mean its rough. I should mention that my game is indeed very laggy, but with the Sims 2&3, the game would slow down to ensure every frame was recorded by the in game camera, did EA threw that out the window with TS4 or is it me doing something wrong? Has anyone experienced the same thing? Does it mean that if you do no have the best computer to play TS4 you can kiss machinima goodbye? Please tell me it's me missing something, the reason I got ts4 is machinima if there's no way to record lag-free i might cryĪs someone who basically played sims for the movie / picture making I can understand your woe. Here's what I got when filming on high + uncompressed ![]() I then lowered the quality or the recorded videos files, still laggy, and looks like cat vomit. That's when I noticed that the footage recorded with the in game camera was missing loads of frame, just like what you'd get if you recorded a laggy game with Fraps. So I tried to film a machinima with the Sims 4, i launched the game, filmed what I had to in the highest uncompressed quality then went and checked what I had filmed. ![]()
